During his foot march, or 'padayatra,' from Jamnagar to Dwarka in Gujarat, Anant Ambani, the son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, made headlines by rescuing a flock of poultry chickens. This act of compassion took place on Tuesday, April 1 and has since garnered significant attention on social media.
In a video that quickly went viral, Anant is seen stopping a van near Khambhalia town in the Devbhumi Dwarka district after discovering it was transporting chickens destined for slaughter. He can be seen holding a hen and instructing his team to "save" all the birds from the caged compartments of the vehicle. Anant also ensured that the owner was compensated for the rescued chickens, demonstrating a commitment to animal welfare.
The young industrialist has been on a 120km journey from his home in Jamnagar to the sacred site of Dwarka, covering nearly 10 kilometers each night under tight security. He has already walked approximately 60 km and expects to reach his destination in 2 to 4 days.
During the trek, he expressed gratitude, stating, "I am able to undertake this padyatra because of the blessings of Lord Dwarkadhish. His blessings are on everyone."
Twitter has been buzzing with reactions from netizens who are praising Anant Ambani's compassion. One user tweeted, "It’s heartwarming to see someone of his stature caring for animals. Truly inspiring!" Another commented, "Anant Ambani’s gesture demonstrates that kindness transcends wealth and status. Hats off to him!"
Many have shared the video, expressing admiration for his actions and commending him for using his platform to spotlight animal rights while some users commented it as a mere PR stunt.
