Dubai: M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has been taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), media reports said on Wednesday. This was after the Kerala high court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.

Malayala Manorama reported that Sivasankar was transferred into custody from a hospital in the state's capital where he has been under treatment. A senior IAS officer now suspended, Sivasankar on Monday got some relief from the Kerala High Court, as it directed the Customs not to arrest him till October 23.
