The incident occurred in Nangloi, Delhi, where 42-year-old Dharambir allegedly killed his 32-year-old colleague, Amit, after Amit refused to lend him ₹5,000. Authorities report that an argument escalated, leading to the tragic act. The suspect is believed to have used a blunt object and subsequently concealed the body in a water tank located on the premises.

According to an NDTV report, Delhi Police launched a search after Amit was reported missing. During the investigation, inconsistencies in Dharambir's statements led to his arrest. The case is being treated as premeditated murder due to the nature of evidence collected.

Following his confession, Dharambir has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The murder has caused alarm in the local community, with residents expressing shock over a loan dispute turning deadly. Police have urged citizens to report signs of interpersonal conflict early.
