Beijing: China has confirmed 10 new cases of swine flu, bringing the total number on the mainland to 49.
Xinhua News Agency said on Wednesday three cases were reported in eastern Fujian province, two in the capital of Beijing and one in Guangdong province.
Of the three cases in Fujian, two were Chinese American girls, aged 11 and seven, sisters of an earlier confirmed swine flu patient. They arrived in China recently from New York, as did the other case, a 28-year-old Chinese woman.
