Workshops for engineering consultants

In its efforts to simplify work procedures for clients, Dubai Municipality's Roads Department held a workshop for engineering consultants involved in carrying out road projects for the Municipality.

Khalid Mohammed Al Marri, Head of Roads Construction at the Department, said the workshop on Tuesday was primarily aimed at making supervisory staff at the consultant firms aware of certain definitions, circulars, administrative orders, procedures and agreements.

Nearly 60 people from 12 consulting firms took part in the workshop.

The participants were given a handbook containing definitions of various terms used in the field, betterment works, development works, agreements between Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and Dubai Municipality, and between Etisalat and Dubai Municipality, laws, local orders, administrative orders, and circulars related to this field.

Al Marri explained that the Municipality plans to hold more such workshops in the future.
