Dubai: Join the All 4 Down Syndrome group at gate four of Safa Park on Saturday for a walk to raise awareness about the condition.

Rebecca Corley, founder of the All 4 Down Syndrome group, said: "We have been organising the awareness walk for the past nine years since the 21st of March was declared World Down Syndrome Day.

"The walk is done to raise awareness across the UAE and for people with any connection to down syndrome to get together on this special occasion."

She added that they are expecting 1,000 people.

"The walk is at 4:30pm, but people should come a bit early to pick up a t-shirt and a water bottle."

People can register online here.

Dubai Municipality officials and the public participate in the Yalla Walk campaign at Safa Park. A study released by the World Health Organisation showed that physical inactivity was the fourth leading mortality factor in the world after blood pressure, smoking and diabetes.
