Dubai: A GMG passenger flight Z5092 bound to Dhaka from Dubai had to be diverted back to Dubai International Airport after take-off late on Saturday due to technical fault in one of its engines.
The aircraft is expected to take-off early on Monday.
About 178 passengers were on board the aircraft. Dhaka-based private airline GMG made its inaugural flight to Dubai on February 1, 2008.
Virendra Nautiyal, executive director of the airlines, said: "After take-off the crew found out that the left engine did not have enough power and so the aircraft was brought back. We expect to get the spare part by evening and if everything goes right the aircraft will take-off after midnight. I regret the inconvenience that the passengers had to go through."
