Ras Al Khaimah: As part of Ras Al Khaimah’s Transport Master Plan 2030 and in line with efforts to improve connectivity across the emirate, the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched a new city bus route called the ‘Orange Route’.

The latest route runs from the Al Nakheel area to the Main Bus Station in South Al Dhait, passing through several key destinations in the heart of the city. Stretching over 13 kilometres, the Orange Route brings the total length of the internal public transport network in Ras Al Khaimah to 99 kilometres.

The launch is a step forward in RAKTA’s mission to create a more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly public transport system. By introducing the Orange Route, RAKTA aims to encourage greater use of public transportation through affordable and convenient services that cater to everyone in the community.

New route

The new route connects all four main city routes, supporting a more integrated and seamless travel experience across the emirate. It’s designed to enhance coverage, shorten travel times, and offer more flexible commuting options for residents and visitors alike.

Passengers can expect a one-way trip to take between 25 and 30 minutes, with buses stopping at eight major points: Al Nakheel, Julphar Towers, Al Sadaf Roundabout, Driving School, Post Office, Clock Roundabout, Flamingo Beach, and the Main Bus Station in Al Dhait South. The service will run 20 trips daily, starting from 6:30am until 8:30pm. Each trip costs Dh8.
