Motorists drive off with cash prizes

Dubai: Drivers who observed traffic rules on the roads were rewarded on the first day of the annual five-day Caltex RoadStar campaign.

Twelve motorists drove away with cash prizes yesterday and won the RoadStar title. They received Dh750 each in addition to other gifts and a certificate endorsed by Dubai Police One winner Sabine Hambach, a German housewife , said she had read about the campaign in Gulf News.

"I was pleasantly surprised to know I was the winner and I might use the money I won to buy a birthday gift for my son," she said.

Other winners were Hanan Askalan, Sujin Vijayan, Annie Morris, Jagit Kaur Hensch, Maurice Corry, Kumar Mahapatra, Mohammad Sher Ali, Khalid Khadraoui, Gulab Khan, Therese Mullin and Bobby Lulla.
