Adnoc debunks rumours on payments, Smart tags

Dubai: Recent rumours that have circulated on social networks regarding Adnoc Distribution not accepting cash or credit card payments at service stations from January 1 are not true, the company said in a statement on Saturday.

Adnoc said there is also no truth to reports that Smart or Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags will cost Dh350 from January 1.

"Any changes affecting our customers will be announced through official channels," Adnoc said.
