Abu Dhabi: As part of efforts to regulate the use of public vehicle parking areas and enhance their operational efficiency in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), under the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has called on owners of vehicles that have been parked for extended periods—exceeding six months—within the designated truck parking area in Musaffah (M-18), to visit the on-site parking management office to complete the necessary procedures. These procedures include updating vehicle information and settling any outstanding fees.

The Centre stressed that vehicles left parked for prolonged durations without fulfilling the regulatory requirements—such as updating records and paying dues—may be subject to legal action, which could include the auctioning of vehicles in coordination with the relevant authorities, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force within the Emirate.

The ITC further clarified that failure to update vehicle data and pay the applicable fees will lead to the enforcement of legal measures, in collaboration with the competent entities in the Emirate.

The Centre urged concerned vehicle owners to promptly complete the required procedures, noting that unauthorised or unregistered parking constitutes a clear violation of public parking regulations. Such practices hinder movement within parking areas and negatively affect the urban landscape.

Owners urged to comply with the public parking regulations

Additionally, the Centre called upon owners of vehicles left for extended periods in truck parking areas or multi-storey car parks—without payment of the required fees or registration of vehicle details with the Public Parking Management or the relevant control room—to comply with the public parking regulations in Abu Dhabi. Vehicle owners are reminded not to leave their vehicles in a manner that obstructs the movement of other vehicles within parking facilities, and are urged to cooperate fully to avoid legal action, which may include vehicle auctioning once the statutory period has lapsed.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to regulate the use of parking spaces, maintain smooth traffic flow, ensure public safety, and uphold the aesthetic appeal of the Emirate.
