Abu Dhabi Police to install 40 new radars on Mafraq highway

Abu Dhabi: Speedsters beware! Abu Dhabi Police are to install 40 new radars along the Al Mafraq-Ghweifat highway, a senior official told Gulf News.

Major Hussain Ahmad Al Harthi, Director of the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety department at the Traffic and Patrolling Directorate of the police said: "Within two weeks, 40 new radars will be installed along the route from Al Mafraq to Ghweifat".

Though 120 km/ hr is the speed limit on the highways in general, radars flash motorists only after they cross 160 km / hr.
