Al Ain: Abu Dhabi Police have fulfilled the wish of two young brothers by inviting them to accompany a special children’s patrol, in a humanitarian initiative aimed at strengthening community engagement and promoting road safety awareness.
A team from the Traffic Awareness and Education Branch at the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate visited the children’s home in Al Ain, where they were given the opportunity to experience a ride in the Children’s Patrol vehicle.

During the visit, the boys were introduced to the role of police officers and the importance of adhering to traffic rules through simple and interactive explanations.
Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Baloushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, said such initiatives are part of Abu Dhabi Police’s ongoing efforts to promote community wellbeing. He noted that safety extends beyond the protection of lives and property to include humanitarian and social engagement, reinforcing social cohesion and community partnership.
The initiative was met with positive reactions from the children and their family, who expressed their appreciation for the gesture. Commemorative gifts were presented to the two brothers and their family members, while additional gifts were distributed to other children present.
The awareness team also provided road safety guidance to families and children in the area, highlighting the importance of following traffic rules and avoiding dangerous behaviour such as playing on or near roads.
The visit concluded with introducing the Children’s Patrol initiative and its educational role in promoting traffic awareness among young people.
