Telethon to raise funds

A fundraising television programme organised under the banner "We Are All Palestinians!" will be aired today on Dubai television.

The telethon, organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, in cooperation with Dubai Television, aims to collect donations to support the Palestinian cause.

It will be aired for 12 continuous hours starting at 3.30pm today until 2am tomorrow. People can phone in their donations.

For English speakers, a one-hour programme will be aired today from 6 to 7 pm.

Alongside the telethon, donation collection points will be set up at the six branches of Emirates Co-op, Dubai City Centre, Oasis Centre, Wafi City and BurJuman Centre.

The cash collection stalls will be open at BurJuman Centre, from 10 am today, until the evening of April 12. Money raised will go directly to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, for distribution in Palestine.
