Takreer, NPCC post second wins on the trot in inter-oil cricket

Takreer and NPCC scored their second successive win in the 10-team 10th Inter-Oil Companies cricket tournament, being played here at the Esnaad Cricket Ground in Mussafah.

Takreer's Mohammed Haseeb scored an unbeaten 81 to outshine Martin Fernandes of ADMA-OPCO who scored the only century of the tournament so far. Fernandes scored an unbeaten 103 with the next best being just 15 as his team managed 170.

Haseeb and Arman Akthar (46) saw Takreer through to their second win following their 8-wicket win over ADGAS last week.

NPCC, who beat ADNOC Distribution by six wickets on the opening day, scored another big 102-run win over GASCO with Rauf picking up five for 18 for the winners.

In yet another match played during the Eid holidays, Anathram (75) and S.G Sitaram (29) helped ADGAS beat ZADCO by 11 runs. Holders Esnaad started their campaign with a 27-run win over last-year's runners-up ADCO for whom Musarat Baig saw his alround display of 3 for 29 and 76 runs go in vain.
