Probe into blaze near RAK petrol station

Ras Al Khaimah: A fire that raged in a pile of garbage and construction remains behind a petrol station in the Al Ma'amourah area, spread to a nearby parked car on Tuesday.

A senior officer at the emirate's Civil Defence Department said that no casualties were reported in the fire and that fire fighters exerted extended efforts to prevent the fire from reaching the petrol station, which could have resulted in tragedy.

He added that the fire was brought under control and the police have launched an investigation into the blaze.
