Sole winner: Filipino expat in Dubai wins Dh30 million Big Ticket jackpot

Anna Lee Gayongan, a Filipino expat based in Dubai, won the Dh30 million Big Ticket Grand Prize in draw series 282, held in Abu Dhabi.

It was the first jackpot draw of the year. The winning ticket, number 074090, was purchased on December 21.
Anna, a senior account executive, has been living in Dubai with her family for the past 15 years. A regular Big Ticket participant for several years, she purchased the winning ticket on her own.

When show hosts Richard and Bouchra first tried to reach her, the call went unanswered – twice. This prompted Richard to make a light-hearted appeal on air: “If you know Anna Lee Gayongan, tell her to pick up her call.”
Bouchra chimed in with a laugh: “Where is Anna Lee?”

The Big Ticket team later managed to get through to her.
Reacting to the news, Anna said she was overwhelmed with happiness after receiving the winning call, adding that it was the best possible way to begin the new year.
