Dubai: As tensions continue to unfold across the region, many Emiratis say their sense of security and trust in the nation’s leadership remains unwavering. Across the UAE, citizens describe a climate of calm resilience, with daily life continuing as normal and communities standing firmly united behind the country’s leadership.

From bustling shopping malls to busy airports and businesses continuing to succeed, the rhythm of life in the Emirates has largely continued uninterrupted. For many residents, this stability reflects decades of careful planning, strong institutions and the leadership of the nation’s rulers.

Young Emirati Reem Almarzooqi, 20, says the events of recent days have only strengthened her appreciation for the country’s stability.

“We’ve always known the UAE to be a safe country, there was never any doubt about it. Yet seeing this war unfold and experiencing firsthand truly how powerful our defense systems are, and how fast our leaders have acted, has forever changed my thinking of the word ‘stable’. We are more than stable,” she expressed.

“Life here is steady. Businesses still run, airports are busy, families go out and about. We have order and we are beyond calm. Don’t be fooled by what you read on your social media.

Reem added that despite the conflict occurring in the wider region, she remains completely confident in the UAE’s ability to safeguard its people.

“I’m well assured that even with this conflict happening, the UAE comes second to no one when it comes to safety. Not only have we seen impressive military and defense systems and unwavering loyalty between our crowd and our government, but we have rulers that we stand behind 100% and who have never let us down. Who wouldn’t feel safe?

Her confidence reflects a broader sentiment shared by many Emiratis who say their trust in the government and the country’s leadership remains absolute.

Khalifa Adel Alharbi, 20, an Emirati resident of Abu Dhabi, echoed similar feelings of reassurance and unity.

“Even during challenging moments in the region, we know the UAE stands strong because of the wisdom of our leadership and the unity of our people,” he emphasized. “Our rulers have always placed the safety and wellbeing of the nation first, and that gives us great confidence. When we see how quickly decisions are made and how prepared our country is, it reminds us that we are in capable hands.”

Khalifa added that conversations with friends and family often center on staying informed and supporting one another, while maintaining the calm that has long characterized the Emirates.

“People here trust the system that has protected and guided us for decades,” he said. “We continue our daily lives with pride, knowing that the UAE has always been a place of stability and progress.”

Across social gatherings, family majlis and busy cafes, many Emiratis say the same message is repeated: unity, calm and confidence.

Observers note that the UAE’s strong infrastructure, resilient economy and reputation for safety have long contributed to a sense of security among both citizens and residents.

Government initiatives promoting mental wellbeing and reliable communication channels have also helped maintain reassurance among the public. As Reem mentioned: “Our government has put out numeral lines to reach for mental support, and programs such as "SAKINA" have been developed for this specific reason.”

For Reem, the message to the world is simple.

“Life here is steady. Businesses still run, airports are busy, families go out and about. We have order and we are beyond calm. Don’t be fooled by what you read on your social media,” she stated.

While Khalifa stressed that: “Moments like this remind us how fortunate we are to live in a country built on vision, unity and trust,” he said. “Our leaders have always guided the UAE with wisdom and courage, and as Emiratis we stand firmly behind them. No matter what happens around us, we remain calm, proud and united as one nation.”

With daily life continuing across the Emirates and communities expressing confidence in the country’s institutions, many say the prevailing sentiment is not fear, but reassurance, and a renewed sense of national solidarity under the leadership of the UAE’s rulers.
