Dubai Police received a total of 24,723 calls on both emergency and non-emergency lines between noon on December 31, 2024, and noon on January 1, 2025, coinciding with the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Outstanding Performance

Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations, commended the staff at the Command and Control Centre and the 901 Call Centre for their professionalism and quick responses to public inquiries. Their efforts highlight Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to safety and community well-being.

Emergency line activity

The Command and Control Centre received 22,606 calls through the emergency line (999), showcasing an impressive response rate. Brigadier bin Faris emphasized that this efficiency is a testament to Dubai Police’s dedication to maintaining public security, especially during high-demand periods.

Non-emergency line support

Major Yaqoub Al Sarouash, Director of the 901 Call Centre, reported 2,117 non-emergency calls handled. Additionally, 398 live chat inquiries were processed through electronic platforms. Dubai Police reminded the public that the emergency line (999) is for urgent situations only, while the non-emergency line (901) is available for general inquiries and services, ensuring optimal resource management and community assistance.
