Dubai: His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, praised the Zayed Higher Foundation for Humanitarian Care for delivering best services to the persons with special needs through its community and academic integration programmes.
In a keynote address on Tuesday to the ACCESS Abu Dhabi 2008, the Third International Conference on Special Needs, Sheikh Mohammed said ''We are looking forward for a promising future to the persons with special needs based on the principle of equal opportunities for all…we will work together to support them and open up opportunities before them to contribute to development of the nation.
Addressing the event, former British prime minister John Major said he was hugely impressed with the facilities and care available at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation.
Mohammed Al Hamli, Secretary General of the Foundation, said the three-day gathering seeks to acquaint stakeholders with the latest developments, experiences and expertise in the humanitarian care field.
