A young Emarati man had his right leg cut off from his body after his vehicle collided with concrete barrier

Dubai: A young Emarati man had his right leg cut off from his body after his vehicle collided with concrete barrier on Massafi- Dibba Fujairah road in the early hours of Sunday, Lieutenant Abdullah Suleiman, Director of the Investigation and traffic department of Dibba Fujairah police told Gulf News.
The 19-year-old man, identified as HRA, was driving his Toyota car on the new Massafi- Dibba Fujairah road and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle veered to one side due to excessive speeding, causing it to collide with the concrete barrier.
His right leg was chopped off as it collided with the sharp edge of the concrete barrier, while he suffered fractures in his left leg. The accident took place at around 1.30am, Suleiman said.
Police patrol units and ambulance rushed to the site as soon as Dibba Fujairah police received news of the accident, Suleiman said.
The Emirati victim was transferred to Dibba Fujairah hospital at around 1:40 am for treatment, Suleiman said.
An official at Dibba Fujairah hospital told Gulf News that HRA was admitted immediately to surgery section. He remains in a serious condition with a fracture in his left leg and internal bleeding. He will be transferred to another hospital once his condition becomes stable.
