Malayalam short story bags award

Dubai: Dubai-based Rengith Vasudevan’s work in Malayalam, Almarathile Kaakka, has won the Best Short Story award at the ninth edition of the UAE National Sahityotsav (literature festival) recently organised by the Kalalaya Cultural Forum based in the UAE. The award was presented to Vasudevan by Kareem Haji Thalangara, convenor of the UAE National Sahityotsav, at the event which was also attended by Neeraj Agrawal, head of Chancery and Consul (Press, Information, Culture) at the Indian Consulate in Dubai, among other dignitaries.
