It was a day of the bowlers in the Dulsco Ramadan Cricket tournament at the Dubai Cricket Council ground.
In the first match of the day Ibsons were bowled out for 83 and in the second match Wellfit Kasargod were dismissed for a paltry 97.
Ibsons, electing to bat, began disastrously against Belhasa Driving Centre. The first three batsmen were back in the pavilion for only 16 runs. Opening bowler Ishaq picked two wickets while Irfan Dar destroyed the middle order bagging another two wickets.
Syed Atif (38) and Imran (14) were the only batsmen to reach double figures before Nadeem wiped off the lower order batsmen by bagging three wickets.
Belhasa openers Qadir Nawaz and Shafqat Hayat put their team on the road to victory by registering a 55-run partnership.
First change bowler Suhail gave the breakthrough by clean bowling Nawaz (29) and Hayat (18). Suhail also trapped Mukhtar leg before with the first ball.
However, next man Irfan Dar (16n.o) along with Amir Raza (12n.o) steered their team to victory in 14.5 overs.
In the second match Kasargod batsmen fell to an excellent bowling attack from Arab Udupi. Naveen Olivera was the pick of the bowlers with four for 15 from four overs.
Naveen struck two early blows before Kurram Mir chipped in with a brace. However, Fhiroz Ahmed (9) and Shahid Ali (3), Shahib (17) tried to get his team back into the game, but Prasanth and Mashood bagged two quick wickets each to end Kasargod innings.
Udupi, in their reply, began badly losing openers Ibrahim and Kamil. Mohammed Mashood (25) and Kurram (30) put on crucial 45 runs for the third wicket before Shabir dismissed both of them.
Needing just 37 runs to win, C.T.K. Mashood (9n.o) and Naveen (13n.o) helped their team to victory in 23.3 overs.
