Emirates International Endurance Village continue their global sponsorship of endurance racing as the title sponsors of the Abu Dhabi Arabian Nights endurance race, scheduled to be held on August 28 in the US.

This 160km FEI three-star ride has attracted over 60 entries which include riders from Belgium, Denmark, Brazil, Argentina and the UAE.

They will face tough opposition from the local entry as this premier ride is one of the selection rides for the USA team that will contest the World Endurance Championship to be held in Dubai in January 2005.

The location for the Abu Dhabi Arabian Nights ride is the desert country of south west Idaho, at the foot of the Owyhee Mountains.

The route, which includes sections of the Oregon Trial, offers spectacular scenery as it passes through several cattle ranches that were established in the 1860's, and travels along the Snake River Canon.

Al Wathba's Dr Andrew Dalglish is a member of the veterinary commission. Mohammad Al Sayed, Chairman of Emirates International Endurance Committee, will present the awards.
