Lighter gas inhalation causes death, injuries

Dubai: The Forensic Evidence Department of Dubai Police is conducting a study to determine the reason behind a number of cases involving inhalation of butane lighter gas, which resulted in one death and three injuries in the first six months of this year.

The death and injuries were caused by the explosion of butane gas resulting in fires. The gas is pressurised and can cause severe injuries and damages to properties if it explodes, forensic experts said.
