Sharjah Medical District recently organised a lecture on healthy nutrition practices for girls in their teens.
It was organised at the Motherhood and Childcare Centre, as part of the district's health awareness summer programme. The lecture, entitled 'Balanced Nutrition for Teenagers', was delivered by Majeda Taimour, a nutritionist at the centre. She introduced a number of healthy foods to the students, easy to cook at home.
A demonstration that followed focused on the importance of eating fresh vegetables and fruits, both during the summer and as an ongoing healthy practice through life.
