Leaders express grief over loss of Grand Imam

Abu Dhabi:  President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak on the death of Shaikh Mohammad Syed Tantawi, the Grand Imam of Egypt's Al Azhar Mosque.

Shaikh Khalifa expressed his deep grief to President Mubarak over the great loss of Shaikh Tantawi.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, have also expressed sympathy with President Mubarak.
