Indian consulate officials visit prisons in Northern Emirates

Abu Dhabi:  Staff from the Consulate General of India in Dubai visited prisons in two northern emirates last week to meet Indian inmates and offer them legal support.

During the visit to Ras Al Khaimah Central Prison, Colonel Saleh Shimali promised to help consular officials address the grievances of Indian inmates.

In Umm Al Quwain, Captain Sabeel Salem Rashid also promised to support the work of the consulate.

Community organisations in Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain also agreed to support the consulate's initiative.
