Dubai: Six physicians have been suspended from practising medicine in Abu Dhabi for serious breaches of regulations related to the prescription and dispensing of controlled medications.

In an official statement on Friday, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) said the suspensions followed an internal investigation that uncovered significant non-compliance with medical laws and policies designed to regulate the use of controlled substances — medications that carry a high risk of misuse and require strict oversight.
