Dubai: The newly opened state-of-the-art Dubai Diabetes Centre under the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will provide the most comprehensive care for diabetic children and adults. On a visit to the facility, high level medical delegates including professor Jean Claude Mbanya, president of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), said that the increased capacity – 8,000sq feet, will reach out to a larger number of diabetic patients.
The Centre has paediatric endocrinology services as well as a gymnasium, pharmacy and kids play-area. It will also enhance the capacity for retinal imaging and podiatry facility, both of which are critical for early diagnosis of complications in diabetes.
