Dubai:
The International Modern Hospital (IMH) will organise a blood donation camp today (November 22) from 9am to 2pm at Latifa Hospital’s Dubai Blood Donation Centre.
Under the theme ‘Give blood, give hope’, the hospital’s campaign encourages residents to donate.
According to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), one unit of blood can be separated into four individual components, potentially saving multiple lives. Currently, the Dubai Blood Donation Centre needs 250-300 blood units of all groups every day.
In the first six months of 2012, the Centre collected almost 19,894 units of blood.
