'We are always looking forward to develop the brotherly relations between UAE and Pakistan for the benefit of both countries’ peoples,' says Shaikh Khalifa
Pakistan: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday met with Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, during a private visit to the country.
During the meeting, Shaikh Khalifa expressed his happiness at visiting Pakistan, and praised the high level of relations and cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan.
“We are always looking forward to develop the brotherly relations between UAE and Pakistan for the benefit of both countries’ peoples,” said Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalifa and Sharif discussed bilateral relations, and ways to strengthen them in all fields for the mutual benefit of both countries. They also exchanged views on recent developments on the regional and international level, as well as issues of mutual concern.
Sharif said that Shaikh Khalifa’s visit reflects the strong and brotherly relations between the two nations and their peoples. He pointed out the role played by the UAE in aiding Pakistan, which is reflected in various projects that aim to enhance the standard of services in different areas of the country. Sharif emphasised that the Pakistani government and people are very grateful for the support provided by the UAE and Shaikh Khalifa.
Sharif wished Shaikh Khalifa and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.
Upon his arrival to Rahim Yar Khan, Shaikh Khalifa was received by Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, and other senior officials.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President’s Representative, Eisa Abdullah Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, and other Shaikhs and senior officials.
