UAE President and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince approve Dh4.62b housing benefits ahead of Eid Al Adha

Abu Dhabi: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved a comprehensive housing benefits package valued at Dh4.62 billion.

This initiative is designed to assist 3,052 Emirati citizens across Abu Dhabi, reflecting the leadership’s ongoing commitment to improving the welfare and stability of its people.

Housing benefits package

The package comprises Dh4.4 billion in housing loans allocated to 2,862 beneficiaries, providing them with the means to secure quality homes. Additionally, Dh212 million in loan repayment exemptions will benefit 190 recipients, including limited-income retirees and heirs of deceased citizens. This inclusive approach ensures vulnerable groups receive targeted support.

Aligning with national development goals

Coming ahead of the Eid Al Adha festivities, this is the second major housing package released in 2025. It highlights the government’s dedication to holistic social and economic development, particularly in fostering family stability and community wellbeing. The package supports the UAE Year of Community objectives, aimed at strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing solidarity within the Emirati society.

Cumulative housing benefits reach Dh11.38 billion

With this latest package, the total value of housing benefits provided to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 has reached Dh11.38 billion. This substantial figure demonstrates the scale of investment dedicated to enhancing housing and community welfare throughout the emirate.

Leadership commitment to family stability

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, emphasized the package’s importance, saying, “This housing benefits package reflects the leadership’s dedication to empowering citizens through access to quality housing, promoting family stability, and enhancing quality of life.”

Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, added, “The second housing package of 2025 underlines the leadership’s vision to build a prosperous future by improving quality of life and delivering sustainable housing solutions tailored to Emirati citizens’ needs.”

Additional Community Support Subsidy

In addition to this package, the housing authority recently approved a community support subsidy of Dh250,000 for current housing loan beneficiaries. This includes up to a 50% reduction in monthly loan installments, along with other supportive services aimed at easing financial burdens and improving quality of life for Emirati families. Together, these initiatives reflect the UAE leadership’s strategic vision for sustainable development, social stability, and the wellbeing of Abu Dhabi’s citizens.
