Pubic cautioned against messages with financial requests impersonating ministry officials

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned the public about fraudulent messages impersonating its officials.

It has urged individuals not to respond to suspicious financial requests made via phone or email.

In an official statement, the ministry cautioned against cyber scams that falsely claim to be from its offices, emphasising that all government services are securely digitised and adhere to the highest safety standards.

The ministry confirmed that its only official contact number is +971 800 44444, while emergencies for UAE citizens abroad should be reported via +971 800 24.

It urged individuals to remain vigilant and report any unauthorised communications attempting to solicit money or sensitive information.
