UAE Minister of Labour meets his Jordanian counterpart

Geneva: Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour, met with Dr Nidal Al Katamine, Jordan’s Minister of Labour and Minister of Transport and President of the 102nd session of International Labour Organisation (ILO), on the sidelines of the ILO conference in Geneva.

Gobash congratulated Al Katamine on his election as the president of the conference, commending his efforts to make the session a success.

During the meeting, Gobash and Al Katamine discussed the agenda of conference and the report on future challenges of the labour markets, as well as proposals put forward to tackling the challenges.

They also discussed the joint cooperation between the UAE and Jordan in the area of labour markets, workforce and exchange of experiences between the two countries.

The UAE delegation also participated in the international gathering in Geneva held on solidarity with Palestinian workers and people on the sidelines of 102nd session.
