UAE donates $3m to Peru

Lima: The UAE Government, through its embassy in Lima, has provided $3 million to support victims of recent natural disasters in Peru.

A ceremony announcing the support was attended by Mohammad Yousuf Al Awadi, UAE Ambassador to Peru, and members of the embassy in Lima, along with Nestor Francisco Popolizio, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru. Popolizio thanked the UAE for its assistance, pointing out its great importance due to the size of losses suffered by the country, and praising the strong bilateral relations that bring together the two friendly countries.
