UAE and Jordan agree to boost cooperation

Al Ain: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday held talks with King Abdullah II of Jordan, who is on a fraternal visit to the UAE.

Shaikh Khalifa welcomed King Abdullah, in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

They discussed bilateral relations and means to develop and bolster them in all fields.

The two leaders also exchanged views on current Arab and international developments and issues of mutual concern.

Shaikh Khalifa and the Jordanian monarch reiterated their keenness to boost and broaden avenues of cooperation between their countries at all levels, for the best interest of both people.

King Abdullah arrived earlier in Al Ain and was received at the airport by Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and other shaikhs and senior officials.

Shaikh Mohammad had received on Monday Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafa Al Aisawai and his entourage.
