Pakistan's president arrives in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi: Pakistani president, Asif Ali Zardari landed in the capital yesterday to discuss economic ties with the UAE government and business leaders, the Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE told Gulf news.
"The president is going to focus on economic development issues in his two-day visit here, specifically agriculture, energy and petroleum," Ambassador Khurshed Ahmad Junejo said.
The President will also discuss the outcome of the Friends of Pakistan gathering which took place in the UAE last week.
"He will begin by meeting President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The round of talks will include etisalat, Emirates Investment and the Pakistan business community," Junejo said.
The visit is expected to reaffirm the two countries' commitment to each other.
"The UAE and Pakistan have had ties that go back decades and this is one of the greatest relationships for us...." Junejo added.
