New consular section and visa issuance centre opens in Cairo

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has opened the fifth consular section and visa issuance centre in Cairo.

The centre aims to facilitate the issuance of Emirati visas for people living in Egypt.

The move will further enhance entry to the UAE for Egyptians through facilitating and speeding up entry procedures through UAE e-gates.

The centre was inaugurated on Wednesday by Ahmad Elham Al Daheri, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in an official ceremony attended by a number of senior Egyptian officials.
