Mohammad Bin Rashid meets Poland President-elect

Warsaw: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Tuesday) met Andrzej Duda, President-elect of Poland, at the conclusion of his two-day visit.

Shaikh Mohammad congratulated Duda on winning the Polish elections, and praised the democratic framework drawn up by Poland during its independence phase, which led towards the country’s political, cultural and economic openness to the rest of the world.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his confidence that the coming phase will witness tangible growth in relations between the UAE and Poland. Shaikh Mohammad added that Duda has a positive attitude that will shift Poland into a new phase of prosperity and partnerships with various countries, in addition to the UAE.

Duda said that Shaikh Mohammad is a great political figure who possesses a wise and admirable vision. He pointed out that he was following up on the UAE’s achievements, and Dubai’s achievements in particular. Duda described Dubai as an icon of modernity, success and leadership in the financial, business and investment sectors for global companies and businessmen around the world.

He expressed the hope that Shaikh Mohammad’s visit will lead to positive results that drive forward relations and cooperation between the two nations. He also vowed that his government will work on extending new bridges for building new partnerships with the UAE, particularly in the field of joint investments and exchange of tourism expertise to boost the number of tourists for both countries.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and a number of senior Emirati officials and Polish ministers attended the meeting.
