FNC approves 44 bills in 58 sessions

Abu Dhabi: The Federal National Council (FNC) approved 44 bills in 58 sessions between November 15, 2011 and February 17.

Around half of the bills deal with economic matters. They are aimed at establishing legislation to boost sustainable development, empower Emiratis and contribute to building a knowledge-based economy.

The approved bills are aimed at updating legislation and keeping pace with development in the economic, cultural, tourism, investment and social sectors in line with Vision 2021.

It took the FNC around 136 hours of deliberations to approve the bills, according to a statistical report.
