Abu Dhabi vaccinates more than 1.6m animals

First phase of sixth annual livestock vaccination drive ends

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi emirate has vaccinated 16.5 million animals in its annual drive.

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) carried out the first phase of the sixth annual vaccination drive that ended last November, an ADFCA press release said on Thursday.

The drive covering the whole emirate aimed at mainly preventing Foot and Mouth Disease in sheep, goats and cows. Goats were vaccinated against Contagious Caprine Pleuropneumonia (CCPP) disease in the first phasem that started in September and continued until November last year.
