Fundraiser: Non-profit shelter seeks donations

Dubai: The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) recently hosted its first fundraising event. It is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and child victims of domestic violence and child abuse.

In her keynote speech, Afra Al Basti, CEO of DFWAC said, "Human trafficking is the fastest growing organised crime targeting women and children internationally. Unfortunately, Dubai is not an exception. Your donations go directly to support projects aimed at offering more help to the victims residing at the Foundation."
