Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Deputy Ruler of Fujairah, yesterday opened an art exhibition and honoured outstanding girl pupils.
It was part of activities to mark the end of the summer programme organised by the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare at Umm Al Alaa Al Ansariyah Preparatory School.
The art exhibition featured paintings and handicrafts made by the girls.
A total of 176 girls from all classes joined the camp at the school which started on July 1 and will end on August 15.
The girls took part in several cultural, social and other entertainment activities and attended lectures on religious and health topics.
They also had Holy Quran recitation lessons and short training courses on computers, henna decoration and use of cosmetics.
