Floodlit cricket tournament

Sharjah Cricket Council will be conducting the Ecmit Champlain College Trophy for XII Sharjah floodlit cricket tournament 2002-2003 B Division from the third week of January.

A total of 24 teams are likely to participate in the above tournament, which has become a much sought after event in the cricketing calendar.

The 30-over-a-side tournament is played on a league-cum-knockout basis where the top two teams advance to the knockout stage after playing preliminary league in their group.

Coloured clothing will be provided to all the teams with the name of the sponsors, team and tournament embossed on it.

All the matches will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium under the floodlights of international specifications. The matches will be played daily from 8 pm.

Attractive cash prizes are on offer for the teams in which the winners will be awarded Dh5,000 while the runners-up take home Dh3,000.

Three tournament main prizes and individual Man of the match awards for all the matches will also be awarded.
