Fire breaks out in Fujairah building

Fujairah: A massive fire erupted at a six-floor residential building near the Fujairah Civil Defence Department on Saturday.

No one was injured in the fire in Building 12, which was caused by a gas cylinder explosion at one apartment, authorities said.

The fire spread rapidly because of the wind, resulting in heavy material losses. At least two apartments were completely destroyed.

The Civil Defence of Fujairah said they received an alert about the fire at  4:14pm.
