No injuries reported as firefighting teams evacuate residents and extinguish blaze
The Dubai Civil Defence swiftly contained a fire that broke out in a residential building in Al Barsha on Tuesday, with no injuries reported.
Authorities said ‘Shaheen’ drones — launched eight months ago to tackle fires in high-rise buildings — were deployed to help bring the blaze under control.
The operations room received the emergency call at 2:11pm, and firefighting teams were dispatched to the site within six minutes. Crews immediately evacuated residents and worked to extinguish the flames.
Officials confirmed the fire had been fully put out and that the site will be handed over to the competent authorities once cooling operations are completed.
