Filipino boy, 6, dies after being hit by taxi in Sharjah

Sharjah: A 6-year-old child died of injuries after being hit by a car in King Faisal road on Monday evening in Sharjah.

According to police, the victim, a Filipino boy, was hit by a Sharjah taxi while crossing the road on his own.

The child died on the spot due to the impact of the collision.

Police patrol and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident where they pronounced the victim dead. His body was moved to hospital.

The taxi driver has been taken to Al Buhairah police custody for interrogation .
