As part of an ongoing effort to develop its inspection skills in the field of criminal research and investigations, the Dubai Customs at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), held a graduation ceremony last Wednesday for new female inspectors working at the Inspection Department.
The batch includes 12 inspectors who underwent training at the Dubai Police Academy. The graduation was attended by officials from the academy as well as supervisors of the training courses.
Butti Al Thafri, director of the Inspection General Administration, said: "We are proud today to honour these graduates who are working hand in hand with male inspectors to serve the country.
"It has become the UAE woman's responsibility to protect the community as this is the first batch of inspectors to graduate from the Customs in cooperation with the Dubai Police Academy."
He added that the Dubai Customs believes in the importance of involving national women in all fields and offering them the best opportunities to serve their country.
There are 41 female inspectors working at the Customs out of the total of 461.
