FATC clear teams' preparation programmes

The UAE Football Association Temprory Committee (FATC) approved the preparation programmes for the national and Olympic teams at a meeting held on Monday at the FA premises in Dubai.

The meeting was chaired by Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi.

Topics on the agenda were the UAE's participating in the Gulf Cup to be held in Kuwait from December 24 -January 12 and the Asian qualifiers for the 2004 Olympic Games. The qualifiers will be held in UAE and Japan from March 1-18.

The senior national team will hold a camp from December 10-14 and will play a Iran in a warm up match on the last day. The second camp will be from December 17-20 and they will play against Iraq on the last day before the team leaves to Kuwait on December 23 to participate in the Gulf Cup.

The Olympic team will start preparations for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Asian qualifiers with a camp in Abu Dhabi that runs from February 21, 2004 to February 29.
